Banbury-based sustainability charity WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) have guidance on their website explaining how you can recycle your Christmas wrapping paper and not add to the landfill mountain.
See their website for more information.
You can use a ‘scrunch’ test on wrapping paper, so that even metallic paper can be recycled if it can be scrunched into a ball. You can recycle all paper and packaging, unless it contains glitter. So all you have to do is remove any plastic, tags, bows and ribbons then put it in the recycling bin for collection – could be an amusing game for after your Christmas dinner!
