The Editor has received a reply from Oxfordshire County Council about the roadworks that are due to start in Catsham Lane and Horse Shoe Lane next week. A Technical Officer for Highways and Drainage has provided the following information:
“The work is to reconstruct a section of carriageway near the railway bridge and hence there will be a 24 hour road closure for up to three days. This will be followed by a further daytime closure for up to five days to carry out patching to other sections of the road.”
Regular drivers of that road will have noticed the yellow markings already on the road, indicating where patching and reconstruction will take place. There is also a water leak on the road which will hopefully be dealt with at the same time.
