The Longest Day in the Cotswolds

The longest daylight hours traditionally herald the beginning of summer on June 21st and in the Cotswolds this means that we will have 16 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds of daylight from sunrise at 4.44 a.m until sunset and 9.34 p.m. So this is the day of the Summer Solstice.

After that date sunrise will begin to occur progressively later and then from 29th June sunset will occur progressively earlier.
