This week marks the 50th Anniversary of the first lunar landing, when Apollo 11 module ‘Eagle’, with Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong aboard, landed on the moon’s surface in 1969.
Remarkably there was also a partial lunar eclipse this week, clearly seen from the village, on Tuesday evening.
