Oh no, more snow!

As at  10 a.m. on 3rd March, some roads throughout the area remain impassable, so advice is not to venture out if at all possible. Latest news on the roads can be found on the County Council website

The Cafe is open and will serve pizzas tonight and Chadlington Quality Foods is open until 3.30 p.m.The Tite Inn is due to remain open and is serving some light meals.

Following the last significant snowfall in January, the Parish Council and the Good Neighbours (07541 235002)  scheme produced an advice leaflet, which has been distributed to householders. Now could be a good time to re-read this notice and prepare for getting through the next few days of bad weather.

This snow will inevitably affect local roads, so it is good that there are a number of salt bins in the village, which provide grit for scattering on icy roads. Please remember the salt in the bins is intended for use on the public highway only, and that bins have be sited in their location for a specific reason. It could be a criminal offence for it to be used for other than its intended use. For more information see the District Council’s website
