12-18 June is National Carers Week. There are over 60,000 carers in Oxfordshire. As there are 195 people living in Chadlington over 65 and 35 with a limiting long term illness there must be many people in our own village who should be recognised and supported for the commitment they have to looking after family, friends and neighbours.

To help them carry on this vital work there is now an Outreach Worker for Carers Oxfordshire. She is running a monthly Carers Support Group in Chipping Norton, meeting between 10.45 and 12 noon every fourth Thursday at Bitter and Twisted. Refreshments are provided and all carers are welcome. Contact Anney on 0345 050 7666.
If you or someone you know needs some help, advice and support with a caring issue. You can also contact our local Good Neighbours project which operates in Chadlington, Spelsbury, Dean and Taston. Call 07541 235002.
