Liz’s long service honoured

The Parish Council were very sorry to say ‘goodbye’ to Liz Woolcock but had to acknowledge that she had served over and above what could be expected of a Parish Councillor as she first joined the Council in 1979!

LIz has made many significant contributions to Chadlington over the last 38 years, including as a member of the Memorial Hall Committee and trustee of the Diplock Charity. She will continue as the Treasurer of the Chadlington Methodist Church, so her long public service does not end here.

Liz said “I’m standing down to give other people in the village an opportunity and a nudge to make their mark in village affairs. I have really enjoyed my time on the Parish Council and would encourage others to do the same”.

Nominations are open for a new Councillor to take her place.
