Sell out evening for village hall project fund

Friday 10th March saw The Wine Tipster hosting a fun filled evening of wine tasting, Opera and racing knowledge, raising funds for the Chadlington Village Hall Project. The combination of ticket sales, generous donations and a superb raffle resulted in a total of £850 being raised for this worthy cause.

The Wine Tipster provided some racing tips for the Cheltenham Festival, including Buveur D’Air, who won the Champion Hurdle on Tuesday, whilst Juliette and Howard Pauling, who were in the audience, celebrated their son Ben training his first Cheltenham Festival winner with Willoughby Court on the Wednesday of The Festival at 14/1. Happy days!

The success of the evening wouldn’t have been possible without ticket sales and delicious food from Chadlington Quality Foods and Café de la Post, as well as the beautiful entertainment provided by Claire Bradshaw and Richard Coxon. Thanks also go to Susan Myatt for the much appreciated 70th birthday cake for David Simons – what better way to celebrate than with cake and The Wine Tipster in a beret and fake moustache.

A big thank you also to the sponsors of the evening who supplied the Hall with wines and water: Prosecco Zonin, Kleine Zalze, Esk Valley, Les Dauphins, Beronia (for the wine and berets), Château Léoube, Tim Adams and San Pellegrino.

And of course, such an evening wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of those who attended and made the night such a memorable and unique one!
