Work was underway to repair Chadlington cemetery path but this has halted because some of the materials essential to completing the job have been stolen. Three large tubs of adhesive were taken on Thursday from near the back door of the house next to the path, which is opposite the Church. The incident has been reported to the police by the contractor but if you saw anything or know anything about this crime, please call 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
Regular Website readers will know that Chadlington’s Cemetery path is in urgent need of repair. It needs to be completely resurfaced but the quote of £5000 is beyond the means of the parish church (who are responsible for maintaining the cemetery) at the moment.
So in the short-term is has been decided to go for a cheaper solution – to power wash it and patch up the concrete – with a view to undertaking the full resurfacing job at a later date.
